How something earns a spot

A person here actually read it, ran it, or used it. Every entry gets a short note in plain language (never a rehash of the thing’s own marketing) and a checked date. Lists like this rot; the date is the promise that someone is still paying attention. No scores, no rankings: we collect, you decide.
